United States largest insurance provider CNA Insurance has become a recent victim to a cyber attack making its website and services inaccessible to users from the past three days. The insurance company has acknowledged the issue on Wednesday and admitted that some of its systems were disrupted by cyber attack.

CNAā€™s website is down and its internal communication systems like email were also impacted by the cyber incident.

Tech blog Bleeping Computer suspects a ransomware attack behind the network outage and added that the interruption could be a result on a file encrypting server attack.

As per the sources reporting to our Cybersecurity Insiders, CNA reportedly detected a sophisticated cyber attack on its servers on March 21st of this year and immediately isolated the impacted systems from the corporate network.

It also alerted the law enforcement on the issue and hired a third party team of forensic experts to investigate the impact of the incident.

More details will be revealed as soon as the investigation is concluded by security experts.

Note- As of the stats released in 2018, CNA is the 7th largest commercial insurance company that specialized in property and casualty liability. The business offers service across US, Canada, Europe and Asia and has been in the industry since 120 years with estimated assets worth $45 billion.
