Well,

Paul van Oorschot’s webpage contains a complete copy of his book: Computer Security and the Internet: Tools and Jewels.

It’s a while since that name crossed my horizon, but the book is fairly new so I guess it’s time to have a little read.

Thank you so very much for this link!
As @Clive Robinson says, “… I guess it’s time to have a little read.”

From the book: Beware of the links you click on in your mail.
From Bruce: “What else could you possibly do with a link. Telling people to not click on links it’s not good enough; we have to do better”.
Thanks for this gift; great read.

@Petre Peter

Well…what we can do better?

I have seen the times when there wasn’t html email at all,
everything was plain text, so for me sulution was
easy – i filter out html emails and delete them automatically.
I’ve teached people i know, i trust and communicate with to
configure their systems to use plain text email only.
In addition, i live most time inside command line and use
CLI email client that allows to show me email full source
with headers before i even open the actual email. Seeing
source before opening the email has become second nature
to me.

@ Bruce, Moderator,

I posted an innocuous partial review of the book suggesting people start with §1.8 especially the last two paragraphs.

And it has not appeared for some reason.
