Learn dance from Artificial Intelligence AI based Robots

All these days we have seen robots driving cars, manufacturing goods and automobiles and some doing day-to-day household chores. In coming years, we will see robots based on Artificial Intelligence teaching dance to those interested.

Yes, a team of researchers led by Prof. Brian Magerko has started work on a project that focuses on teaching AI based robots the art to dance. And pretty soon they are going to host a dance competition in association with Kennesaw State University Department of Dance, where those interested can compete with the robot in various dance forms.

Going deep into the facts, we all know that robots do not need rest; they do not get exhausted that easily and can learn anything in just a matter of few minutes or sometimes seconds. And it’s obvious a human body cannot match a robot’s performance in a dancing competition.

Mr. Magerko said that his project is now limited to the testing phase and might be extended to a commercial phase where the machine will assist humans in dancing. Other than that, it will not be used to steal the jobs of dancers or entertainers on television or cinema.

The Artificial Intelligence powered robot has been named as LuminAI has been in development for over 8 years and has learned some dancing skills and gestures that have helped it to emulate the dance moves performed by professional dancers to a certain extent.

A lot of research work needs to be done on this note and the professor is planning to take his LuminAI to other parts of the world, such as India, to take the processing machine to its next level.
