Now a Digital blue print to protect UK from Cyber Threats

As Cyber Threats seem to be ever growing, the UK government has devised a National Cyber Strategy aimed to protect the UK from the threats lurking in the current cyber world.

In recent years, the businesses operating in UK have been constantly generating a revenue ranging anywhere between £6.5- £8.9 billion from over 46,700 skilled jobs and attracting more overseas investments.

UK’s new National Cyber Strategy is aimed at offering an ultimate level of cyber expertise in all parts of the country, by bolstering the defensive capabilities of the entire nation against threats such as cyber-warfare and state funded attacks.

Thus, as a part of the new strategy, UK has announced a training program called “Cyber Explorers” that will help groom the cyber skills from school classroom level, hence giving ample time for the next generation to improve their skills regards to cyber and Information Technology.

The Queen has also approved “Royal Charter” where the government will encourage the populace with professional cyber careers that will in-line with other professional courses like engineering, medicine and law.

Julia Lopez, the Minister for Media, Data and IT stated that the new strategy will be groundbreaking and will ensure that UK attains a top position in cyber power by ensuring that their populace has the right knowledge and skills to help them stay safe and secure when online.

Priti Patel, the Home Secretary opines that the new cyber strategy will help in bringing down cyber crime and will help neutralize the effect of digital crime on society.

Note- National Cyber Strategy will be operational alongside the recently created National Laboratory for Operational Technology Security, bringing government, industry and academia together, eventually helping the economy of Britain to attain cyber resilience.
