AI media to be banned in China

News generated by robots will no longer be considered as genuine as the report can be easily influenced/manipulated by other factors. The same has been confirmed by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) leading a ban on the use of AI generated media and news channels.

Precisely speaking, the Chinese administration was more against the use of Deep Synthesis Technology and so imposed a ban that will come into effect from January 10th of next year.

Deep Synthesis is a tech that can manipulate images, videos, audios and text and be presented in a new form that looks authentic, but is not in-real.

Imposing a ban on the technology is like what is being overseen in other forms of online services in the Xi Jinping led nation like social media, games and short videos.

Thus, the populace of Beijing centered nation will be prohibited from using generative media articles through AI as it poses as a threat to national security and will probably damage the public interest in a brief span of run.

Largely, it makes it impossible to figure out and verify those indulging in generative AI media and those seeking such content. And so, manual or automated content audits are not possible with such content as a kind of anonymity exists in those generating and using such content.

Baidu has faced a lot of troubles while filtering politically sensitive content enriched with text and images. So, the CAC has imposed a permanent ban on the use of AI generated content, where a kind of rest is given to human minds and a lot will depend on the machines and algorithms.

Nonetheless, the demand for such content is enormous, say experts, as only this tech can help satiate the demand for innovative content.

That said, from the coming year, AI media generated content will be banned on a complete note and those producing and seeking such content will be termed a threat to national security.
