Upcoming seminars on the draft Data Protection Regulation

As you may already know, we’re hosting two seminars next week on the draft Data Protection Regulation.

On Tuesday, 19 June at 5pm BST, we are hosting a webinar on “Data Protection Update and the new EU Regulation”.  The webinar will start with a news update on cookies and the recent passing of the ICO deadline, followed by a “tour” of the draft EU Regulation and its implications for businesses.  If you would like to be part of this event, please get in touch.

On Wednesday, 20 June, we are hosting a one day conference with PDP Conferences on “The New Data Protection Law – How to Prepare for the Changes”.  The speakers include senior Privacy Officers from organisations including KPMG, BBC, NBC Universal, Google, Cable and Wireless, Opt4, and Rolls Royce, along with Dentons’ Privacy & Data Security group.  The day opens with a session on the wholly new parts of the new rules. We also explore the changes to the existing rules. In the afternoon, we’ll look at the rights of data subjects, international data transfers and enforcement issues.  Each session is a short presentation followed by a panel discussion with Q&A. Should be fun.

If you would like to join us at the Wednesday conference, please visit the PDP Conferences website.
