The Livingston firewall rapidly became replaced with Checkpoint running on Windows NT server, (Stop laughing, I actually set one up once). Cisco came to market with the PIX firewall, Netscreen came to market with the ASIC based firewall, and suddenly, security had a voice. This was in 2005! Becoming A Predictable Science?
